In this review we are going to talk about Mobiado Classic Line collection cell phones: Luminoso, Stealth and Lucido. Engineering and technical aspects will be frequently touched upon and will represent the most important part of the review because materials Mobiado uses in their phones always deserve a lot of attention being the strongest point of the company. Actually all Mobiado phones can be called masterpieces and resemble jewelry – so precisely engineered they are. And their clear-cut shape and solidity of body make them inimitable in their beauty. There is a very simple way to completely realize the power of combination of the refined design and a great engineer’s idea together with valuable materials – you should just imagine for a second that Mobiado cell phones are not for a museum collection but for the hands and pockets of their owners that use them day by day…
Appearance
The entire Classic Line family is presented by bar cell phones with rounded upper and lower sides. The manufacturer did not try to hide screws and made them contribute to the design of the phones. The stainless steel screws and especially their size tell us about the strength of the material the body of devices is made of. We are talking about hard-anodized aluminium, which is hard to be scratched or deformed.
Display
Due to DiamondShield® coating Luminoso display isn’t afraid of scratches, and Stealth and Lucido have a sapphire crystal display shield protecting their displays from damage. The sapphire crystal protects the camera lens of all three phones as well. Mobiado Luminoso, Stealth and Lucido have QVGA TFT and 262144 colour displays with resolution of 320x240 pixels.
Keypad
The sapphire crystal found its use in buttons of Luminoso and Stealth. Speaking about Lucido, its buttons are made of stainless steel. Buttons of Stealth are hand-painted black by skillful hands of patient craftsmen who worked upon 1200 Stealth phones. As you can see, the edition is limited.
Camera
Mobiado Luminoso, Stealth and Lucido are equipped with 2MP camera (1600x1200) with 8x smooth digital zoom and flash. There’s a dedicated stainless steel button to turn on the camera and take pictures, and to zoom in and out you should use side volume buttons. Classic Line cell phones can record video as well. The supported file formats are 3GPP, H.263, MPEG-4 and AMR.
Luminoso
Luminoso keypad illumination deserves special attention. Sapphire crystal buttons seem to emit light themselves as though they are the source of light. If you turn on illumination in the darkness, you’ll feel magical luminescence that can hardly be described. Its colour can’t be named either light blue, blue, or even motton blue. The cell phone is declaring its individuality in a very bright and unique way.
Stealth
While Luminoso wants to be noticed very much, Stealth doesn’t want it at all. The cell phone is very massive as if it is made of a one-piece stone. There is also something secret and unexplored in it. These are the feelings suggested by the dark colour and matt surface of the cell phone. We can say that Stealth is the reflection, the antipode of Luminoso.
Lucido
Lucido is the only cell phone in Classic Line collection with stainless steel buttons and light-coloured body with an exception of the black upper part of the backside and black logo of the company engraved on the battery cover. Due to contrast of colours the cell phone is very stylish. Lucido is made in a limited edition of 200.
